Clinical Observation and Therapeutic Trials with new drug Marina in the various types of Alopecia


Abstract
A clinical observation was carried out in the Yu-Il Clinics during the period from April 1966 to Oct. 1966. During the study period, a total 613 patients were experienced and overall sexual ratio of male and female was 4 :1.
The most common type of alopecia was alopecia areata with 228 cases (37.2%), and subsequently 212 cases (34.6%) of alopecia senilis and 99 cases (16.1 %) of alopecia pytirodes were followed.
The most prevalent age of incidence in alopecia areata was observed in the age group of, 15~44, that of so called human baldness was 25~54 and that of alopecia pytirodes was 15~34.
Therapeutic trials with new drug Marina were also carried out. Except a few cases of cicatric alopecia and congenital absence of pubic hair, excellent and satisfactory effect was obtained in the almost all cases of various alopecia. Butt there were no unpleasantness, nor significant side reactions.
